Media Salad is committed to helping young people become critical thinkers, excellent researchers, effective communicators and servant leaders because we know how profoundly important those skills are to their success, regardless of where career and life take them.
We are pleased to announce intern Trudeaux Coffey has joined our team for the summer. The Colorado native is well known for his situational awareness, aggressive defense, and ability to roll with punches and shots — on the ice. Before graduating in 2024 from Valor Christian High School, he achieved top rankings as a hockey goalie with winning records placing him as high as No. 1 in his home state and No. 3 in the nation. From high school, Trudeaux headed to Pennsylvania to play for the Atlantic Youth Hockey League’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 18U AAA junior league hockey program. Trudeaux plans to play another year of hockey while applying to colleges this fall. He is also making time for a volunteer service trip to support initiatives helping the poor in Kolkata, India.
“I am really excited to be working in communications because I will have the chance to work on how to relay my ideas and the ideas of others more effectively in business settings and online,” Trudeaux said.
By his own admission, Trudeaux has a lot to learn — and yet we have noticed he already thinks smartly about how to build even the simplest website to help small organizations and young, entrepreneurial minds like his reach their target audiences and business goals. At Media Salad, Trudeaux will continue to sharpen his business reporting and writing skills, learn the basics of communications production and management using new tools, including AI. Look for some of his work on our blog.
