The Media Salad team is pleased to announce that Wheaton College has named Chief Executive Officer Christine Tatum to its Board of Visitors. Her four-year term begins next week.
“It is a tremendous and deeply humbling honor to be appointed to serve one of the world’s most distinguished Christian institutions of higher education,” Christine said. She and her husband, Dr. Christian Thurstone, have a daughter currently enrolled at Wheaton and a son who plans to attend in fall 2025 as a freshman.
The College, founded just outside Chicago by Christian abolitionists in 1860, explains: “The Wheaton College Board of Visitors is a national council made up of distinguished Christians who are committed to advancing the mission and priorities of Wheaton College. While not a governing body, the Board of Visitors maintains a level of access and input commensurate with the strategic role it plays in advancing the mission of the College. Collaboration with the President, Board of Trustees, Senior Administrative Cabinet, and the wider campus community is designed to be mutually beneficial and warmly personal, an act of service to Christ through the ministry of Wheaton College.”
